SPECIAL EVENTS 2022

Local Kiama bluesman Frank Sultana returns to the Art Bar for the first time since early 2021.
Embracing all of the dark charm of pre WW2 Mississippi blues, Frank Sultana sings with as much grit and whiskey drenched soul as the characters he writes about. Franks original music is inspired by such blues/folk greats as Son House, Blind Willie Johnson as well as songwriters like Bob Dylan and Tom Waits.
Frank has maintained a busy touring schedule right through the pandemic period, playing close to 90 shows in 2021. He also released 2 albums and 1 EP since the first lockdown in March 2020. In between his busy national touring schedule, he finds himself back home in Kiama, where the locals know to catch his shows while he’s in town, before he sets off on tour again.

For the Art Bar, Frank has crafted a show filled with songs from across his 10 year (and 11 release) career, and he is set to release a new live album, showcasing his fine songwriting from the last decade titled ‘Live in Marysville’ recorded in May.

She is currently a backing vocalist and keyboardist in the touring bands for both Missy Higgins and the John Butler Trio, and continues to record and tour when she can with her Elana Stone Band.
